At the Annual Meeting of the Council on May 25th , Cllr
Helen Papworth was re-elected Chair and Cllr Keith
Bennett Vice Chair of the Council. Cllr Tony Dawson has
since been elected as Chair of the Planning Committee,
and Cllr David Milton Chair of the Finance and General
Purposes (F&GP) Committee.
SPEEDWATCH APPEAL
The parish continues to be without a Speedwatch Co-
ordinator. Speeding in the Parish was identified recently
to the police as a priority action, along with the lack of
visible policing. Councillors will be attending a follow up
meeting at Police HQ, Kempston at the end of the
month, but parishioners are encouraged to get together
to re-start Speedwatch in areas of the parish where
there is a known problem.
